Dr. Manuela Carnaghi contributed to an article in Science News about mosquitoes increasingly targeting frog nostrils for their blood meal. Further research in this area will be key for understanding disease transmission in animals.
NRI Director, Prof. Sheryl Hendriks’ work on determining the true cost of food is cited in a piece by New Scientist. In the article, Sheryl says the current cost of food ‘doesn’t include social externalities, such as underpayment of wages and child labour.’
